Sarah Schaeffer is the co-founder of Sanejo and responsible for coordinating Sanejo’s volunteer program. Sarah recently completed her Master’s degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics. Previously, she spent a summer researching the Rwandan primary and secondary school education system and travelling throughout East Africa. Her primary interests lie in conflict resolution, post-conflict reconstruction, international law and sustainable peacebuilding. Apart from her research experience, Sarah has worked at the UN Headquarters in New York for the Mission of the Netherlands and participated in African focused conferences in New York, California and Cape Town, SA. Sarah is a native of Seattle, WA and obtained her BA from Occidental College in Los Angeles. She currently works and resides in Amsterdam.
