Wright hounded Saints tight end Jimmy Graham all game, limiting him to three receptions on nine targets. Bobby Wagner was just as important shadowing Darren Sproles out of the backfield. And because it came on Monday night, the way each played garnered attention. Download the Seattle Sports App or sign up for sports text alerts to have the final score sent directly to your mobile device I made a lot of plays in the open field, sniffing out screens and showing my coverage ability, Wright said. And it was Monday night football too so everybody was watching. It was against some really good players and a good offense. It just stood out, this game. Seattle's defensive performance against New Orleans was its most impressive of the season. The Seahawks allowed just 188 total yards to Drew Brees and a Saints team that came into the game with the No. 2 pass offense in NFL. The 188 total yards were the fewest allowed by Seattle this season and fewest since giving up 154 yards to Arizona in December 2012. Most of the attention coming into the game was on the depleted Seahawks secondary with cornerbacks Brandon Browner (injury) and Walter Thurmond (suspension) out, the night became a display of Seattle's talent at linebacker with Wright and Wagner the standouts. Despite his belief, Carroll wanted proof that his linebackers could handle the problems the Saints' offense would present. With Seattle having a bye week before facing the Saints, Carroll asked his coaches to come up with film clips showing Wright could handle Graham in coverage and Wagner could stay with Sproles. The hope was to provide evidence that Seattle would not need elaborate schemes to slow down two of the Saints' biggest offensive threats. I was challenging the fellas with all of the options that we could go to, Carroll said. There's a variety of ways that you can try and match things up and the coaches really felt like we could do it with the matchups that were kind of normal for us. I said, OK, well show me.' So they did and they were right. Seattle used a different tactic than others in keeping Graham from having a huge game. There was a thought that the Seahawks might use Richard Sherman and follow what New England did when the Patriots put cornerback Aqib Talib on Graham and held him without a catch. But instead the job fell mostly to Wright. He played Graham aggressively on the line of scrimmage and tried to alter his route from the start of the play. Graham had two receptions on the Saints' lone scoring drive and one catch on the first play of the fourth quarter when Seattle was well ahead. If you let him run free it's just like 7 on 7 to him. So you've got to get into his face and bother him a little bit and just win on your leverage, Wright said. At the same time I have help, so I trusted my guys to come over the top. You saw Kam (Chancellor) on one of those plays come over the top. So you have to win on your leverage too. The challenge doesn't get any easier for the Seahawks this week facing Vernon Davis and the 49ers offense. When the teams played in September, Davis had only three catches for 20 yards, but very little of San Francisco's passing game worked that night in a 29 3 loss. While it's certain he'll get help from others, there's a good chance Wright will see time defending Davis. He surprised us really. He surprised us early on and he was so stout about the game, Carroll said. He just could learn quickly and handle a lot of information and utilize all of the stuff and he surprised us again with his covering ability, in this manner. He's a very, very good cover guy and he has great instincts about it. Between bunions and hammertoes, corns and warts, she had every ailment known to the foot. Every new pair of shoes had to be stretched and cut to accommodate the outsized bones protruding in all directions. Everywhere we went, her feet would get a look and she was constantly complaining of her oh so sore feet. As I slip on my shoes, I can't help but wonder if my feet could have grown into an ugly mess like grandma's. Fortunately, I became a podiatrist and prevented my feet from getting to the surgical stage. My ingrown toenails were an exception. Unfortunately, genetics does play a role in your foot structure. Some ladies can run around in high heels their whole life and never complain of any major foot deformities. Many folks are not that lucky. There have been several studies that have linked bunions and other deformities to inheritance but they also showed that shoes and activities play a major role in your foot problems. My grandma worked on her feet all her life in fancy shoes that did not accommodate her genetic predispositions and her feet turned into a disaster. I had a good chance of inheriting the ugly disaster if I did not take the proper steps to protect my feet. Like all medical conditions, prevention is the best medicine. It is important to make sure you are wearing the proper shoe gear for your foot type and your activities. Most people wear their shoes too small and this can severely aggravate foot conditions. Some shoes are great for some deformities but horrible for other problems. For example, Clogs are good at relieving pain caused by some Achilles tendon problems, but clogs severely aggravate hammertoes. Make sure you are being properly fitted for your shoes and consult your podiatric physician to learn about shoes that are best for your foot type. Unfortunately, it will be suggested to wear high heels in moderation since they aggravate almost every foot ailment. Don't stop with shoes! You can also prevent foot problems by exercising and stretching. Doing a few stretches daily can save your feet from surgery. Your podiatric physician can best assess your foot issues and inform you of the best stretches and resources. It is important to take these conservative steps first and pay close attention to the changes in your feet. Ron Worley is a podiatrist who specializes in non surgical methods and minimally invasive and laser foot surgery. His office is in San Diego Ca. His goals are to educate the public on the care of their feet and ankles and to have them walking pain free as quickly as possible. Men Nike Free Run 3 Soar Blue Rflct Silver Pro Platinum Volt,Last year a few weeks before the race a fire on the Seaside Height Boardwalk wreaked havoc to the area and jeopardized the race. The registration and post race party location was severely damaged by the fire and the boardwalk at the start was literally destroyed. This year the race faced another challenge. A few weeks before the start in a meeting with Island Beach State Park officials Race Director, Patty Hancock of Toms River was informed that due to construction at the entrance of the park that the race could not go into the park. According to Patty she was devastated by the news and spent the next week trying to figure out an alternative route. She never thought of cancelling the race which would have been the easy alternative. Through numerous meetings and on site measurements an alternative was devised. The new route had the runners start on the boardwalk and head south toward Isnad Beach State Park and then head back and do a second loop before finishing by the start area in front of the beachcomber on the boardwalk. There was also an accompanying 5K race which needed to be incorporated into the event. Patty and her team from the Ocean Running Club fit that in as well. The hard work and dedication paid off with a very successful event. start in front of the Beachcomber and immediately following the playing of the National Anthem Patty gave the runners the command to start. Loudspeakers on top of the Beachcomber could be heard playing loudly the now familiar runners anthem of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run". It took several, minutes for the huge field to clear the start and head south. Exactly 10 minutes later the 5K race started. Pat Asay of the Ocean Running Club gave the runners their instructions and the command to start. The 5K headed north toward the end of the Seaside heights Boardwalk and then south toward the end of the Seaside Park boardwalk before heading back to a finish at the Beachcomber. First to cross the finish line in the 5K was Scott Sarno in a time of 17:53. He was followed by Mark Meliea in 19:57 and then Brian Mervin in 21:04. For the women it was Melissa Brady breaking the tape in 23:17 followed by Isabella Wiley in 223:31 and then Paige Motusesky in 24:11. In the main event the half marathon breaking the tape was Justin Simard of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a time of 1:13:01. This was Justin's third straight win at the race. After the race Justin remarked that the wind was a factor heading north toward the finish for the last several miles. Justin was followed by Andrew Van Hoogenstyn also of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a time of 1:15:00 and then Bryan McDonnell of Kearny, New Jersey in a time of 1:15:48 to round out the top three men. For the women it was Melissa Denman of Montague, New Jersey in a time of 1:30:04. She was followed by Kim Martineau of New York City, New York in 1:30:50 and then Lauren Eckberg of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1:35:23. After each race awards were presented to the overall and age group winners with Race Director, Patty Hancock officiating. Runners were celebrating inside the Beachcomber and outside on the expansive deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Runners looking to do their first half marathon in the spring or train with a group to do a spring half should check out the half marathon training program that will start on January 3, 2015. There is a lot of action coming up for runners in the coming weeks. Check the race calendar for all the details. As many of us are painfully aware, the earnings that we derive from our regular paying jobs never seem to be enough. Thus, we continuously open our minds for possibilities to increase our income and look for ways to earn money other than working double jobs. It is human nature, however, to search for something easy; yet earns as much profits with the least investment. Here is one ideal business that you can operate from home: very minimal start up funding, no inventory, no shipping costs, and if you lucky, can be highly profitable. It takes a lot of hard work, though, in the beginning but becomes easier, lighter and profitable as time goes on. Trading, as it is popularly known, is the business of matching buyers and sellers. You call it International trading when you deal with people from different countries. Basically, international trading is acting as a middleman between the two entities located in different countries. It is actually exporting importing, but without the hassles. You don carry inventory, you don maintain a warehouse, you don handle shipping, you don prepare the shipping documents, you don care about insurance, etc. All you will do is coordinate the functions of both the exporter and the importer. And the best part is you get paid for it! Setting Up Suppliers and Buyers for Your International Trading BusinessHow to Find and Use an Export Management Company Starting a Home Based Exporting Business Getting Leads to be Used for Starting An International Trading Business How to Become a Customs Broker The hard work stems from overcoming the difficulty of establishing yourself as a bonafide international trader and be identified and recognized as such. If you are starting your trading activity from scratch, you will have to work hard on getting your company recognized as reliable trading outfit, be seen as credible and worthy of the trust of buyers and sellers. In the stock market, the buyers and the sellers work very closely with their brokers. The same thing happens in trading. You need to earn the trust of both parties before you can begin. How to Start an International Trading Business Before you get excited, you should bear in mind that the business of trading is not easy. Since you will be negotiating business for companies separately located across the globe, it is but natural for these companies to be wary in transacting business with you at the start. With transactions involving hundreds of thousand of dollars, a company cannot leave the outcome to chance. To be successful in an international trading business, it is imperative that you start on the right foot. Communications is a vital part of the operation. It is important that you should put a little investment in computers, telephone and a fax machine. Even if you have no Web site, you can conduct your negotiations by email. The fax machine comes in handy when you need a copy of a signature before you receive actual signed documents or a signed contract. You might also need a copy of a contract before signatures are affixed into it. Credibility is a very important requisite in this endeavor. It is necessary that you are 100 % reliable. You must show an image of 100 percent reliability. For a beginner, the best way to achieve this is to check out the companies who are selling the product that you intend to sell. Select a product that you are most familiar with. Good prospects are food, toys, electronics, electrical appliances, garments, etc. Try to contact any one of these companies and find out if they are already represented in the country where you want to sell. There are cases where their present or previous business relationships are non exclusive, so you must check on that, too. You can also ask if there is any particular country that they can accommodate you as their representative. For a company to accommodate your application to represent them in some countries, you may have to show them your credentials. Credentials include your experience, companies you have previously dealt with, merchandise you traded and even a bank reference. As much as possible, try to avoid presenting yourself as a newly formed company. Instead, try to project an image that you have been around and that you know the ropes. They will know it by the questions you ask and the answers you give. It is therefore important that you have substantial understanding of trading activities before you even attempt to contact any company. When the company is not represented in a particular country, they will allow you to find a buyer for them on a case to case basis. However, in most cases. you have to take care of all the contacting process and expenses to bring an interested buyer to the exporter. Very often, most of these transactions become a deal because; either the buyer goes directly to the suppliers or vice versa on the second order, if there is any. It is wise to make sure that you are formally appointed and your appointment papers as representative or agent is properly documented. The contract period must also be stipulated in your appointment (one year, renewable) including your compensation in percentages of the value. In some cases, a company might agree to reimburse your expenses or provide you with an extra fixed amount to take care of your communications and other miscellaneous expenses. Embodied in this appointment are the responsibilities that you are supposed to take care at your end and the responsibilities of your supplier. You must do this with all the companies that you get involved with even if the deal is good for only one transaction. For your compensation, most companies agree to share three to five per cent of the gross Freight on Board (FOB) value of the goods shipped. For bulk products, like grains and feedstuff, commissions may range from twenty five cents to a dollar per metric ton. With non volume products, the commission is slightly higher, reaching up to ten percent of the FOB value. Others also allow commission on CandF (Cost and Freight) or CIF (Cost+Insurance+Freight) value but this is rare. This important item must always be stipulated in the submitted to you by the supplying company. Without the proper appointment from the supplier, the risk that you will no longer be a part of subsequent shipments is greater. Whether there will be future transactions or not, it is better that you have the proper appointment to be assured of your commissions, if there are any; and of course, display your credibility to your buyers. Conversely, you must also make sure that the company you are representing is credible as well as reliable. You must also check their history. Get as much information as you can how and where they source their supply including fulfillment history. You don want to represent a company that will disappear after you close a deal or will be unable to deliver. Don take this aspect for granted as it can jeopardize your future or cost you so much, just in case your supplier fails to deliver a vital commodity. Even delayed deliveries can cost so much money in penalties. Furthermore, you should also make sure that your buyer has the financial capability to import. Check out their bank references and make sure that they are capable of making good any payment terms that you agree upon. If a Letter of Credit is required, make sure that they can open one with their bank. There are many cases that a trader loses his face (with his pants) and later disappear from the trading scene because of the failure of one of his buyers to open a letter of credit. A letter of credit is a form of payment used in import export activities. The buyer opens a letter of credit in his bank and the bank guarantees payment upon submission of pertinent documents that the bank will require. These documents normally consist of the Bill of Lading, the Packing List, Invoice, and Inspection and Customs Certificates as required. These are stipulated in the Letter of Credit and you must submit each one of them promptly, if your supplier wants to be paid by the bank faster. As a trader, however, your responsibility is to make sure that the Letter of Credit is opened on time. After that, all you do is wait for the shipment to come in and your commission checks from your supplier. Initially, try to concentrate on one product line. Show to your supplier that you dedicate more time promoting their product. Send them inquiries, request for price quotes as often as you can. In time, they will automatically protect you and consider you part of their operation in your own part of the world. As you expand your product line, you follow the same process. Look for the supplier, find the buyer and negotiate. Eventually, as you become familiar with suppliers and buyers, you will find new product requirements for new suppliers and new buyers. Slowly, you develop your image as an international trader and before you know it, you will start receiving inquiries from buyers and offers from suppliers.
